Oh. My. Gosh!

This is something I came across while surfing for random things. I don't think I have laughed this hard in a while. Enjoy!......

"My friend Lynda is totally cool. She is the type of person who can pick out the best stuff. The picture you see above was a photograph of a wedding cake that she wanted for her wedding.

I don't know where Lynda got the photo, but it looks pretty neat and with her colors and flowers it was going to be a smash hit. As complex as the pattern looks at first, when you really think about it, it is just a serious of straight ribbons laced together. I think the design is great.

Unfortunately, Lynda didn't consider that her baker might make some promises that she couldn't keep. In fact, it seems like Lynda's baker was more interested in Rum Cake than Wedding cake. The picture below is what Lynda's actual cake ended up looking like. This photo is from her ACTUAL reception. This pile of cake had to sit in front everyone during the reception. Lynda spent the first year of her marriage in the courtroom suing a drunk baker. Ouch.

What I find hard to believe is that she actually had it there at the reception. I would go completely cakeless before I would display a monstrosity like that.
It is however really funny.

All you haters are missing the point entirely...

IT'S CAKE!!! YUMMY, YUMMY CAKE!!

(although granted, it's a disastrous trainwreck of a cake)

I think I saw that on cake wrecks. I hope my cakes never appear on that blog. Did you see the cake of the bride that was actually carved to be a life size replica? Sick.

Have a great weekend.

Too funny. Ours didn't taste good, but at least it looked good.

I love to read the cake wrecks blog. Some of those cakes are hilarious.

I surely wouldn't call myself a skillful cake decorator, but I am confident I could do better than that. That's disturbing!
